MARTHA’S VINEYARD \ MASSACHUSETTS

This Martha’s Vineyard vacation home was a beautiful setting for this project. The overall landscape goal was to reimagine an existing landscape and enhance the naturalistic nature of the property. Another challenge was to enhance the beautiful coastal views and create new spaces for entertaining and relaxation. A new swimming pool environment was designed with marble stone terracing and a unique water feature. A variety of garden spaces with large herbaceous plantings and a collection of salt tolerant ornamental grasses were introduced and a seafront meadow was restored with a more diverse selection of plants. Overall, a respect for the existing Vineyard tree canopies and the ocean views were the driving factors for this successful project.
