Conceived alongside the home’s renovation, this landscape was reimagined as a year-round garden for a young family of six, balancing English garden traditions with contemporary restraint within a modest footprint. Preserved Japanese maples frame a redesigned entry where custom benches, boxwood globes, low hedges, and ornamental grasses offer a composed moment of arrival, while a sequence of “garden rooms” unfolds beyond—beginning with a pollinator-friendly perennial garden and flowering crabapples, and transitioning to a dining terrace and fire feature framed by clipped hedges and vibrant walkways. A central play lawn is anchored by three sheared holly evergreens, while an aerial linden hedge, panicle hydrangeas, and furnished terraces define the pool, spa, and outdoor kitchen as a seamless extension of the home. A small private garden with a custom water feature and softened gravel completes the composition, reflecting a design defined by layered planting, spatial clarity, and an enduring sense of calm throughout the seasons.
